Nate explores the area around Porter Sink at Lake Jackson in Tallahasee, Florida.Lake Jackson is is located north of Tallahassee, Florida. It has two sinkholes that feed to the Florida aquifer and open up approxametly every 20-25 years and drain the lake. Do to drought conditions around the Tallahassee area the lake hasn't fully recovered since the last major draw down in 1999. It also had a minor drop do to one of the sinkholes opening in 2007. The last few years the lake has had a decent recovery and people were able to use the lake again until now.
In the past Lake Jackson has been a major attraction for bass fishing, waterfowl hunting, wildlife viewing, and other water sports.
